What are you good at?

I was so sad after being laid off, that I questioned my whole life’s work. It’s been over thirty years of drawing, and i convinced myself that I was not good at art at all.

I believed the haters.

But actually, I am good at art. I am really good at it. I have a ton of focus, thanks Vyvanse, and my work is good when I actually get down to it.

I was talking to a friend of mine, who was like you should get back into comics. And I said, no you don’t think I’m any good at them.

And he said, no I think you took on too much too early. Your first project was a 260 page project. Which was right, i took on a twelve issue run as my VERY FIRST COMIC RUN which looking back was crazy talk.

I did it, but damn.

So I’m open to comics, but like, short comics. Like a few pages.

I’m also good at painting. I’m not the best painter in the world, but I’m surely not bad.

I used to be so afraid of painting, and doing a bad job, but honestly it’s so liberating.
